He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
In separate condolence message, Bangladesh former Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Bangabandhu Foundation Chairman Dr AK Abdul Momen also expressed profound shock at the death of Shahriar Shahid.
Shahriar Shahid died of a heart attack today at Apollo Hospitals here at the age of 55.
Son of now defunct English daily Bangladesh Times former editor late AKM Shahidul Haque, Shahriar Shahid is survived by his wife and a son.-bss
