Seven Parliamentary Standing Committees have been formed for the Eleventh Parliament. Of these, three committees have been appointed by Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury.
According to the relevant rules of the rules of procedure of parliament, the chairman nominated three committees on Wednesday. And Chief Whip Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury Liton is approved in the voice vote if the proposal of the remaining four committees is proposed.
Earlier, 43 Parliamentary Standing Committees were formed in the last seven working days. A total of 50 parliamentary standing committees were formed in eight parliamentary sessions with seven committees formed today. At that time all the permanent committees of parliament were completed.
The other members of the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Standing Committee on Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury are the speakers, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, opposition leader Hussain Muhammad Ershad, Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Fazle Rabbi Mia, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu, Abdul Matin Khasru, Anisul Haque and Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury.
Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury is the chairman of the petition committee, Begum Matia Chowdhury, Md. Fazle Rabbi Miah, Professor Ali Ashraf, Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain, Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, Aso Firoze, Motahar Hossain, Main Uddin Khan Badal and Moshiur Rahman Ranga.
